Organ Donation, Giving The Gift Of Life

Today I’ll be filming a video with Donor Alliance to share Mike’s story and the importance of organ donation. I hope to use our experience to encourage others to make this critical decision known to their family and to register as a donor, as early as possible. It is one small thing that can be done to ease the many decisions that need to be made immediately following the passing of a loved one. I was still standing at the hospital in disbelief when I received the first call and had I not known how important organ donation was to him, I’m not sure how I would have handled the situation. I’m proud to honor his legacy in this way and to know that he gave the gift of organ, eye and tissue donation to help others.
